Barsness Park, located near the northeastern shore of Lake  Minnewaska, offers one of the most scenic spots in Pope County.

The 300 acre park located on the southern edge of the City of Glenwood, has a campground with full hookups, water/electrical hookups, electrical hookups, tent sites and shower facilities.

There are four miles of hiking trails within the park and 150 acres is a wildlife preserve.

The park offers horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, softball diamonds, soccer fields, playground equipment, and a Frisbee golf course.

Two buildings are available by reservation and can accommodate large gatherings. These buildings are completely enclosed and include refrigeration and cooking facilities. These buildings provide an excellent spot for gatherings of all kinds: graduations, family reunions, grooms dinners, etc. Both buildings are equipped with full kitchen facilities, restrooms and have picnic tables located inside.

The City’s swimming beach is a short walk from the park and a concrete boat landing is adjacent to the beach.
