Glenwood is set amid rolling hills on the eastern shore of Lake Minnewaska and has been the county seat of Pope County since 1866.
The City of Glenwood has a population of approximately 2,600 and is located 15 miles south of Interstate 94 on Highway 29 or 120 miles northwest of the Twin Cities, at the junction of Highways 28, 29, 55 and 104.

Congress Passed funding as part of the American Rescue Act for an Emergency Water Assistance Program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. West Central Minnesota Communities Action will be the designated agency to process this information.

We have a new utility payment drop box at City Hall for your after hour convenience! Located on the south end of the parking lot.
City utilities include water, sewer and garbage, billed monthly through City Hall. Questions regarding city utilities may be directed to Payten at 320-634-5433.
